Another perspective of W Barcelona

After a while enjoying the tranquility of the area, although it is most lively today Sunday morning, not only of families walking, but also of people doing sports, we began our walk along the promenade of the Barceloneta neighborhood.

Views of the W Barcelona from La Barceloneta

The Barceloneta neighborhood is one of the best known and most popular neighborhoods in Barcelona. Located in Port Vell, it borders the Olympic Port, the Ronda Litoral and the sea and has the beaches of Sant Sebastià, Barceloneta, Somorrostro and Sant Miquel.
The part closest to the sea is much more modern, although if you are walking through the area at dusk, you can still enjoy the arrival of fishing boats.

Barceloneta neighborhood

The oldest area of Barceloneta still retains its narrow streets, with marine charm, which have made this area one of the liveliest in Barcelona, especially on weekends, when we can see countless families who come to spend the morning enjoying from the sun, beaches and terraces.

There is nothing better to enjoy and discover the Barceloneta neighborhood than to get lost in its streets, without a fixed course or map, to find in each corner the true charm of Barceloneta, and that is what we do when we see that they are almost 3 in the afternoon and the time has come to fill the stomach.

Streets of the Barceloneta District

In Barceloneta we can do nothing but find a place to enjoy tapas, one of the activities that we like most in this area of Barcelona and which we are not going to resist.
We have a couple of options pointed out and seeing that the two are bursting with people, in the end we choose to wait in Bitácora, where in less than 20 minutes they give us a table.
We ordered 5 tapas, more drinks and coffees for 25.40 euros, all great, although we can not ignore that they are tapas and most are "strong", so if you have a delicate stomach, this may not be the best option.

After 4 in the afternoon it is time to say goodbye to Barcelona and we return to take that walk of the Barceloneta that today looks beautiful with a spectacular sun, to return to the parking lot of the W Barcelona to pick up the car.

Paseo de la Barceloneta

It's almost 5 in the afternoon and we are already in the Ronda Litoral, returning home. This weekend has ended in Barcelona, where we have enjoyed the city and two of the most impressive hotels in Barcelona, such as Le Méridien Barcelona and W Barcelona thanks to Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Without a doubt we have enjoyed Barcelona from a very different perspective than we were used to.

Now it's time to wait for a few days to pass and let us hang our backpacks again, this time for longer ...
